GREEN Village Investments has submitted a planning application for a pavilion which is set to become the clubhouse and new home for Liphook United Football Club, on Bohunt Manor frontage land off Portsmouth Road.

The new building is proposed to be sited alongside the already consented football pitches and car park.

After consultations on emerging proposals for the frontage land, Green Village Investments offered to transfer approximately five acres on which the football pitches, pavilion and car park are to be located, free of charge to the football club on receipt of planning permission for the pavilion.

The public consultation in May, attracted strong protests over a proposed housing development and a proposed new junior school to be run by the Bohunt academy.
