CHRISTMAS is coming to Alice Holt this weekend, in the first of several festive events.
People will be able to take home their unique creations from the Christmas tree ornament workshop, which runs from 10.30am-3.30pm tomorrow (Saturday).
They will be shown how to transform natural resources into Christmas tree ornaments ranging from glittery pinecone baubles to stars woven from willow branches.
Christmas wreath workshops will take place on December 4, December 5, December 6 and December 8 from 10am-12.30pm.
Guests will be welcomed with a steaming cup of mulled apple juice before creating their own professional-looking wreath from natural foliage gathered in the forest. Wreaths can then be personalised as this session also includes crafting a variety of handmade decorations.
Tea, coffee and festive snacks will be supplied throughout the session, which is suitable for adults and children aged eight and over.
Saturday, December 15, will see the return of the popular forest craft club, but this time with a special festive theme.
From 10am-3pm, youngsters aged five to 12 can venture outdoors to explore the wintry wilderness of Alice Holt and play games in the forest.
Using natural materials gathered during their time in the woods, they will then create festive crafts to take home, such as real miniature wreaths, 3D portraits of wintry woodlands scenes, and woven willow star ornaments.
Sessions can be booked at tinyurl.com/y7gefcde.
