AFTER serving the owners of The Willows nursery with an eviction letter last month Bramshott and Liphook Parish Council has been severely criticised for terminating the lease in December.

It leaves the group without a home in the run up to Christmas.

The nursery has occupied the Beacon building at the village Recreation Ground for the last 14 years, creating an accumulative income for the parish council of £64,000, and has nowhere else to go at such short notice.

The council's decision to demolish the Beacon building prompted outrage and frustration among parents.
