EGGAR’S School in Alton will play host to a second Festival of Bricks on Saturday, November 30, designed to raise money for Binsted School’s Grounds for Growth campaign.

With work on revamping the playground already under way, the next stage of the project is to build a £15,000 garden room and it is hoped the festival will go some way to meeting that target.

According to Binsted headteacher Sharron Morton the room will be used for one-to-one support, meetings and the wider community.

She added: “We desperately need this additional space as we are at full capacity within our building.

“A dedicated, quiet space will enable us to better support all learners.”

The festival follows on from last year’s successful event which attracted 1,500 Lego fans of all ages from across the region raising nearly £4,000 for the project.

Run by The Brickish Association and organised by a group of dedicated parents, this year’s event can be expected to include some show-stopping displays as well as a brick building area, a Lego fire walk and activity stations. There will be building competitions for all ages with some great Lego prizes on offer.

The Festival of Bricks will take place in Alton from 10.30am to 4pm on November 30.
