The amazing Farnham Festival of Transport is set to be the best ever and a highlight of the Platinum Jubilee weekend.

There will be around 250 cars ranging from historic machines such as the 1924 Morris Cowley ‘Bullnose’ and the Singer 10 to the most desirable supercars like the Ferrari F40 LM, one of only 19 in the world and a road-registered Le Mans specification car.

Also coming to the festival is the famous Bentley Speed Six ‘Blue Train’, which beat the Blue Train in a race between the Cote d’Azur and Calais.

There will be a huge variety, from popular family saloons to a 1960 Bedford J5 fire engine and the White M3A1 scout car as well as eccentric inventions such as the Sinclair C5.

The festival starts in the Upper Hart car park just behind Waitrose on Sunday at 10am. As well as the cars to explore there will be live music from the Rock Choir and the Missy Nelson Band.

At around 12.30pm the cars will be paraded through Farnham, where more people will have a chance to enjoy the sight and the sounds of their engines. After they return to the Upper Hart car park prizes will be awarded in a range of categories.

The festival is organised by the Farnham Weyside Rotary Club to raise funds for the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
