Petersfield Climate Action Network (PeCAN) has produced a YouTube video to educate homeowners on the benefits of the Petersfield Area Super Homes (PASH) project.

The project, funded by the National Energy Foundation (NEF), aims to help homeowners reduce their carbon footprint and energy bills while maintaining a warm and comfortable home.

The PASH project runs across East Hampshire and into West Sussex, including Midhurst and the surrounding villages, and involves a Whole House Retrofit Plan carried out by a professional retrofit coordinator.

The assessment looks at things such as loft insulation, double glazing, ventilation, cavity wall insulation, installing solar panels and getting a heat pump.

The video, which can be found on PeCAN's YouTube channel, explains the process of the Whole House Retrofit Plan and the benefits it can bring to homeowners.

It also highlights the cost of the project and the price reductions available depending on the size of the home and financial circumstances.

Patricia Exley, project officer for PASH, said: "Climate change is a pressing issue and one of the best ways we can make a difference is by reducing our energy consumption at home.

"The PASH project offers homeowners the opportunity to have an independent, impartial assessment on their home, which will enable them to make informed decisions about ways to reduce their carbon footprint and energy bills."

The video also encourages homeowners to contact PeCAN for more information on the project and how to get involved. To find out more about the Whole House Retrofit Plan, email [email protected] or visit petersfieldcan.org
