A NEW Jubilee Walk map was unveiled by Hampshire County councillor Ferris Cowper last Friday.
As part of the Liphook In Bloom celebration of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee last year, long-standing volunteer Irene Ellis came up with the idea of putting together a map of walks in and around the village.
The idea was born after Irene and husband Russell spotted similar boards in other villages during their day trips.
After some research, the team made contact with Hampshire County Council Countryside service.
One of its major projects is promoting access to the countryside, offering assistance and financial support to communities who wish to publicise walks around their towns and villages.
The Jubilee Walk map contents and the accompanying leaflet have been devised, researched and produced by Adrian Bird of the Preservation Society, and members of the Liphook in Bloom team.
