South Farnham School’s teacher training arm has been awarded an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating after its first inspection since 2014.

The highly coveted ‘outstanding’ rating from Ofsted highlights South Farnham School-Centred Initial Teacher Training’s (SCITT) commitment to maintaining the highest standards of training.

The report specifically praised the excellent quality of mentoring across all schools and the support system that empowers trainees throughout their training journey.

Ofsted summarised: “They equip their trainees to thrive, not simply survive, in their early career teacher years and beyond.”

Sir Andrew Carter, CEO of South Farnham Educational Trust, expressed his gratitude and pride in the team’s hard work and dedication, stating: “We are absolutely thrilled to receive this outstanding Ofsted report.

“It is a testament to the incredible efforts put forth by our exceptional staff, schools and trainees. At South Farnham SCITT, we have always strived to create an enriching and supportive environment that enables aspiring teachers to reach their full potential.”
