CHURCHER’S College Nursery pupils gathered outside to present the first Nativity play to parents, siblings and teachers.
Dressed as angels, donkeys and stars they sang Christmas favourites ‘Away in a Manger,’ ‘Little Donkey’ and ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.’
‘Happy Chanukah’ was sung to mark the Jewish Festival of Light, and one pupil held a handmade menorah.
The performance was brought to a close with children and parents joining together to sing ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas.’
Churcher’s College Nursery head Annabel Knowles said: “This is the children’s very first experience of performing in front of parents which is a big event for any child and I am very proud of them.”

It raising £362.50 for the Help for Heroes charity to support injured British servicemen and woman.
From twinkling stars, animals and beautiful dancing angels, to the main characters of Mary, Joseph, three Wise Men, their camels and King Herod, every child spoke with confidence.
The narrators told the special story while the children acted out the Christmas play, singing numerous songs, which they had learned.
Churcher’s College Junior School pupils had a visit from Santa in their grotto made from recycled materials, before breaking up for Christmas.
They chose not to have any presents from Father Christmas, but generously donated the money to the Liphook school’s chosen charity, The King’s Arms in Petersfield, instead.
