East Hampshire's motorists will have 10 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A3, from 8pm January 13 to 6am March 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Horndean, slip road and lane closures for street lighting work, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

• M27, from 8am September 20 2022 to 8pm April 30 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): abnormal Load Movement, Gosport to Ipswich.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A3, from 8pm February 21 to 6am February 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Berelands to Weston, Lane closures for vegetation clearance.

• M3, from 9pm February 21 to 6am February 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 5, slip road closure for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

• A3, from 8pm February 23 to 6am February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Hindhead Tunnel, Lane closures for drainage work.

• A3, from 8pm February 24 to 6am February 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Berelands to Buriton, Lane closure for drainage works.

• A27, from midnight, February 27 to 11.59pm June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): abnormal load - Essex to Southampton.

• A3, from 8pm February 27 to 6am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Griggs Green, slip road, lane closures and temporary traffic signals for signage repairs, diversion via National Highways network.

• A3, from 8pm March 1 to 6am March 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Longmoor, slip road and lane closures for barrier repairs, diversion via National Highways network.

• A3, from 8pm March 6 to 6am March 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for tunnel maintenance, diversion via Highways England network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
