AN accident on Mothering Sunday closed one lane on the southbound carriageway of the A3 near the Liphook turn-off for nearly three hours, according to the police.

A black Renault Clio veered off the road into woodland around 12.45pm on March 6. The female driver was taken to Southampton General Hospital with a knee injury.
