A DRIVER was taken to hospital after a Range Rover, towing a trailer, overturned on the A3 near Thursley last Wednesday afternoon.

The northbound carriageway was closed between Old Portsmouth Road and the Hindhead tunnel, causing tailbacks between 2pm and 4pm, while emergency services worked at the scene.

The driver, a man in his 30s, was taken to Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford with neck and abdomen pain but was fully conscious. Fire crews from Haslemere, Guildford, Painshill and Liphook attended the scene.
