NEW laws banning drinking in public places across Liphook have been adopted this month following a month-long public consultation and will start being enforced later in June.

A council report stated that there were 118 incidents of nuisance or annoyance to members of the public, or disorder associated with the consumption of intoxicating liquor in public places in 2007.
