PUBLIC transport in South West Surrey could be given a major shot in the arm heading into the second decade of the 21st century.
Nearly 50 years after Lord Beeching took a sweeping axe to many provincial and rural railway lines, Network Rail is considering using double-decker trains which could help with overcrowding on their Portsmouth to London Waterloo lines.
