FRIENDS of Liphook Junior School held their annual Dog Show and Duck Race at Radford Park on Saturday.

It was well-attended by many members of the community as well as families from the village's junior and infant schools – and, of course, their dogs.

Around 30 dogs competed, many in a number of different classes, from the just-for-fun "happiest/waggiest" and "look alike" to the trickier agility and obedience categories. Local dog trainer and behaviour specialist Kiri Downes of "Paws in the Pink" judged the competition.

She was particularly impressed with the handling skills of many of the children, and had special praise for the communication shown between deaf dog, Bo and owner, Neil.

Michaela, a year seven pupil at Bohunt School, won best in show with her dog Roxy, a working cocker spaniel.
