FOLLOWING an extensive public consultation in January by Barratt Homes - rival developer Taylor Wimpey has just put forward an application for a residential redevelopment on the former OSU Site.
The proposal is for a total of 67 dwellings, with 43 residential dwellings comprising two, two-bedroom homes, as well as 21 three-bed properties, 13 four-bed and seven five-bed home spread over a mixture of two, three and two-and-a-half storeys.
In addition, Taylor Wimpey propose 24 affordable dwellings made up of six, one-bedroom and a couple of two-bed flats as well as 12, two-bed and four, three-bedroom houses.
The proposed care element consists of a home for people with learning and physical disabilities with accommodation of 17 one-bedroom en-suite apartments.
Developers have included 156 parking spaces across the entire site with 136 allocated for residential, seven for visitors and 13 for the care home – as well as 20 parking spaces for use by railway users.
