BLOOD donors from across Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex have donated enough blood to save over 13,000 lives.

Dedicated blood donor Anne Hutton from Liphook was among 53 donors honoured by NHS Blood and Transplant at an awards event at The Croydon Park Hotel.

The ceremony honoured long-serving blood donors who had donated blood on at least 75 occasions, with 17 of the lifesavers commended for reaching the 100 donation milestone.

Between them, the donors have given almost 4,500 units of blood, the equivalent of 3,600 pints.
