LIPHOOK Day Centre has been awarded £1000 from a pot of £30000 being shared by South East Water's Community Chest Fund.

Committee member Anne Hall said: "We were thrilled to hear from the water company that we have been awarded £1,000 toward the purchase of some new armchairs for our clients.

"The ones in use at the moment are uncomfortable and have been around for several years."
