EAST Hampshire district councillors Angela Glass, Bill Mouland and Rebecca Standish have chosen several projects in Bramshott and Liphook, which they will be supporting through their devolved grants.

With £4,500 available from each of the three district councillors, Mr Mouland is supporting the second Village Sports Day scheduled for Saturday, July 2; a new disabled access for Bramshott and Liphook Social Club in Headley Road; Liphook In Bloom and the Community Laundry.

Angela Glass has chosen Bramshott and Liphook Parochial Church Council to help with maintenance of the graveyard at St Mary’s Church, as well as Bramstock, the annual village family music event.

Her cash will also go to the Peak Centre Trust to help with funds towards double glazing for the Liphook Day Centre; this year’s Bramshott Open Gardens event, which celebrates its 15th anniversary, in June and Bramshott and Liphook Scouts Archery Team, recent winners at the EHDC Sports Awards. Rebecca Standish is supporting the Liphook Crankers, who have taken over the annual LiDBA Charity Bike Ride, as well as future projects which include this year’s Canada Day commemorations; a music project for Liphook Infant School; July’s second Village Sports Day and the Village Fun Day on Saturday, June 11, to help officially celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Ferris Cowper, who has now resigned as county councillor for Bramshott and Liphook, Grayshott and Headley, has made several grants available from his 2015-16 budget.

The Peak Centre Trust will receive £1,000 to assist with meal costs; Peer Production is getting £650 for a play at Bohunt School about the dangers of drug abuse, and Liphook Age Concern will be awarded £2,000 towards a new nine-seater mini-bus.
