HAMPSHIRE County Council is proposing to freeze council tax again next year, keeping it at the same level for a third consecutive year.

The cabinet has agreed to accept the one-off grant offered by the Government to help councils keep council tax down when household budgets are under pressure.

For Hampshire, the grant is £13.2m and it will help the county freeze council tax at its 2010/11 level, when the average, B and D, council tax was £1,037.88.
