LIPHOOK Day Centre volunteers and staff held a successful coffee morning, raising £350 which will go toward the running of the centre.

The winners of the John Carver Memorial Cup for best newcomers at this year’s carnival were kept busy running a raffle, tombola as well as several stalls, selling homemade cakes, jams and pickles.

Volunteer Anne Hall said: “Things are beginning to get busy now with the run up to Christmas and preparing for Christmas parties.

“If anyone has an elderly relative who would like to come to the day centre to enjoy the company of others as well as freshly cooked meals contact one of the managers on 01428 724941 for further details.”
