Theatregoers have been Russian to see a former Churcher’s College student in a National Theatre production.
Alex Lawther continues to make a name for himself on stage and screen with the Hill Brow thespian currently playing Vlass in Summerfolk.
The actor has built up an impressive resume, winning rave reviews for his portrayal as a young Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, since treading the boards as a 16-year-old in South Downs/The Browning Version in the West End and Chichester Festival Theatre.
Nina Raine and Moses Raine are behind the new version of Summerfolk.
It is billed as a “razor-sharp portrait of class, privilege and denial” in 1905 Russia, and will be on show at the Olivier Theatre until April 29.
