SUPPORTERS of Isis hostage John Cantlie, are hoping the capture of the two remaining members of the jihadist “Beatles” may reveal his whereabouts.
British officials have called their capture a potential “treasure trove” of intelligence that they hope will lead to information about the journalist, who was taken hostage in November 2012.
Mr Cantlie who lived in Haslemere before heading off to the Middle East a decade ago, has not been heard of since December 2016, when Isis released their last propaganda video with the 47 year old acting as presenter in Mosul.
It was the 12th time he had been used to lend credibility to their films.
He has not been heard of since and it was reported by some media sources in July 2017 he had died in an Isis stronghold, but there has been no official confirmation.
