FOLLOWING his return to the UK because of health reasons, Canon Andrew White wasted no time in publicly discussing the increasingly critical situation in Iraq. Within 24 hours of his return to the UK, the clergyman dubbed the 'Vicar of Baghdad' conducted an interview on the BBC Radio 4's World at One programme, where he expressed grave concerns about the Islamic State (IS) group and the beheading of two American and one British hostage. Canon White said: "It is absolutely terrible. We are dealing with the death and tragedy of these hostages and also the tragedy of so many other people, not least Christians, who are being killed by this extreme evil terrorist group. "All of us are in danger. When I left Iraq the danger there was immense. I just want to be back with my people. I don't like being here when it is like this."
