BON appetit! Cowdray Farm Shop and Café’s chefs have tucked six Great Taste Awards 2018 under their belts.
Coveted two star winners were Cowdray’s breakfast sausage, the only banger to receive this year’s honour, and Seville orange Bakewell tart, while one star was awarded for the cheese, leek and potato pie, the Moroccan parsnip and chickpea pie, the treacle tart, and collar bacon.
In total 12,634 products were entered for the Great Taste Awards 2018 and following more than 65 days of judging, just 9.6 per cent received two stars.
General manager Rupert Titchmarsh, said: “We are delighted to have received such accolades. We work carefully to source the finest ingredients while supporting sustainable management whenever possible.
“For a further six of our products to be acknowledged by judges of this calibre on a national and international level is hugely fulfilling.
“It is true recognition for our passion.”
