REDEVELOPMENT plans for Passfield Business Centre have been refused.
Proposals for 48 residential units off Lynchborough Road, a community hall, an open space area, parking and landscaping were turned down by the district council planners.
Councillors stated the proposed development would result in the loss of a functioning and viable employment land and buildings, which has not been justified sufficiently by PNH Properties.
They also felt by virtue of the proposed number of dwellings and cramped layout the development would result in the loss of a large amount of green field land and would fail to preserve or enhance the semi-rural character and appearance of this part of Passfield.
Bramshott and Liphook Parish Council strongly objected to the proposal, as did a number of residents.
