AS the grim news of spending cuts spread across the county on Wednesday, East Hampshire District Council has been slammed after it announced a budget gap of more £750,000.
With a decision likely to be ratified at a crucial cabinet meeting on Thursday of next week, council taxes are set to be frozen for the coming year and any shortfall in revenue will be taken from the council's general reserve fund, which is currently just under £2m.
