RECEIVING their outdoor seating and hot food licence in February has given sisters Lucy and Sarah Hanney a chance to expand their menu and attract customers from breakfast to tea time at the popular L&S Gift and Coffee House.

The cafe, which opened last Juneon Liphook Square, is now serving breakfast rolls, toasties, paninis, a range of sandwiches, crock monsieurs and wraps.

Lucy said: “All our products are freshly made and delivered by a local company and we serve them “ready to go” by heating them on the premises, where they can be eaten in or taken out.

“The new range has been very popular but we still have many customers enjoying our cakes as well.

“We are hoping to start afternoon tea very soon, serve ice cream in the summer and are already taking bookings for tea parties.

“Tables can also be reserved for customers - if they wish - as well as orders taken for cakes for special occasions.”

Lucy is getting support with the family venture from Michael Walters, her finance, and the pair are planning to get married this September.

Current opening times are Monday to Friday 9am-4pm and Saturday 9.30am-2.30pm.
