MEMBERS of Liphook Bowling Club attended the opening of the Green for the 2016 season last month.

Before playing a friendly game in very cold conditions, Bruce Penny, captain of the club, presented a cheque for £208 to representatives from The Rosemary Foundation.

Members had collected this money throughout the 2015 season at friendly games against other clubs.

They are pictured handing over a cheque to the charity at their headquarters at Liphook recreation ground, on London Road.

The club is again due to participate in this year’s village Sports Day, which takes place on Saturday, July 2, after successfully opening its doors last year to anyone wishing to try their hand at bowling.

Liphook Bowling Club welcomes new players, experienced as well as beginners.
