FOLLOWING a trip to the United States, Canon Andrew White received a personally signed letter from outgoing President George W Bush.

It read: "The signed copy of your book, Iraq, reached me at the White House. Thank you for thinking of me. More importantly, thank you for helping our people and for sharing the Almighty's love with the people of Baghdad. Laura and I send our best wishes for a happy and healthy new year."
