BOHUNT School in Liphook was featured on a BBC1 news programme as one of the few schools in the country where pupils can now study for a GCSE in Mandarin Chinese. Associate headteacher Phil Avery said: "We are proud that the BBC featured our innovative immersion language programme on the Six O'Clock News. "The item really emphasised the importance of Mandarin, that Mandarin isn't as hard to learn as we think, and that the learning benefits of the immersion method go well beyond the language being learned."
