A GROUP of eager volunteers gathered in Midhurst Road car park under a sunlit sky on Sunday morning to assist in the Liphook in Bloom annual litter pick.

The group of volunteers included small children from Rainbows Nursery, representatives from the parish council, members of a number of local organisations, and the public.

The venture was supported by East Hampshire District Council with the supply of litter pick sticks and refuse collection sacks. They also agreed to remove any collected items. Within a couple of hours, a mountain of red sacks had been filled with discarded food containers, drinks cans and bottles.
