SURREY Police are appealing for witnesses after a Land Rover Defender was driven into the rear wall of the Broken Spur BP Garage to steal a cash machine.

Ram raiders struck at the petrol station on the A283 Petworth Road at Ramsnest Common, south of Chiddingfold, at around 3am on Friday, December 7.

The incident was caught on CCTV and the cash machine was seen being dragged away across the forecourt via a chain hooked up to the Land Rover, causing a considerable amount of damage to the rear of the building.
