PLANS for an assault course at Churcher's College Junior School in Liphook have been sent back to the drawing board after being described as "breathtakingly unneighbourly" by Patrick Burridge, chairman of East Hampshire District Council's planning committee,

The committee agreed to defer the application for further negotiation after district councillors Angela Glass and Bill Mouland spoke against it on behalf of residents in Chiltley Lane whose homes back onto the proposed facility.

Officers had recommended approval of the development even though it is right up against the garden fences of local residents and could be built somewhere else within the grounds of the school.
