RULES on how planning applications should be submitted are changing, and East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) is seeking residents’ views.
EHDC is consulting on revisions to the local applications requirements, which sets out what information needs to be submitted with a planning application. It covers important details applicants must provide, including information on nearby protected trees, conservation areas and listed buildings.
The council originally published its local application requirements in 2009 and has made minor changes since then. But more changes are proposed this time.
Some changes centre on a new system for applicants and developers to make contributions toward community benefits, called the community infrastructure levy.
With this in mind, the council has reviewed its application requirement.
The consultation draft of the new list of requirements can be found at hants.gov.uk. All comments must be sent to [email protected] by 5pm on March 26.
