Dreaming of a green Christmas as Petersfield group offers discounted fruit treesTeam Liphook Clean-Up is made up from members of the Women’s Institute, the Scouts, Girlguiding Liphook, Liphook in Bloom, Bohunt School, Bramshott and Liphook Parish Council, East Hampshire District Council and Hampshire County Council.
Teams of litter pickers will be clearing the roads, streets and verges not only in Liphook but Bramshott, Conford and Passfield from March 5-6, using litter-pick sticks, high-viz jackets and heavy duty bags provided by EHDC and the county council.
The parish council will be clearing litter from its open spaces next week and it is hoped the county highways team will have completed clearance of litter from the verges along the A3 by then.
Anyone able to assist should meet at Midhurst Road car park at 9.30am on either tomorrow or Sunday morning.
Protective gloves need to be worn. Equipment such as hand-held litter-pickers, branded bin bags and hi-vis jackets can be borrowed before the event. For more details, e-mail [email protected].
