HAMPSHIRE Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen a black Audi car involved in a collision with a pedestrian in a residential area in Liphook, last Wednesday evening.

Officers revealed a 36-year-old woman was arrested after a man walking in The Mead, at about 5,50pm, on February 7, was hit by a black Audi A3.

The man, who was also aged 36, from Liphook, suffered bruising as a result of the collision and was taken to Guildford’s Royal Surrey County Hospital for treatment.

He was later discharged while the driver of the Audi was released but remains under investigation, police said this week.

A Hampshire Police spokeswoman told The Herald: “Officers investigating the exact circumstances of the collision would like to speak to any witnesses.

“The incident happened in a residential area at a time when a number of vehicles were passing. So if you saw anything but haven’t yet spoken to us, please get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Hampshire Police on 101, quoting 44180050972.
