A MAN has died after a crash involving four vehicles including a horse box in Grayswood Road, Haslemere.
Police were called shortly before 2pm on Friday, July 30, following reports of a serious collision on the A286 just north of Beech Road.
One of the drivers, a 54-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed, but he has not yet been named publicly.
Two other drivers were taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The road remained closed in both directions until around 11pm on Friday while emergency services attended the scene, and again for a short while on Saturday morning.
Eye-witnesses also reported seeing three ambulances plus an air ambulance at the scene, as well as "many police".
A police spokesman said: "We are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything or has any dashcam footage to get in touch quoting incident reference PR/P21163948.
