LIPHOOK infant and junior schools held a successful sports day, where all children were able to demonstrate their athletic skills and, above all else, great sportsmanship.
Pupils were selected to represent their classes in sprints and relays and the day became a culmination of their athletics practice and allowed them to demonstrate to peers and parents what they have achieved.
Staff and children were supported by sport leaders from Mill Chase Academy.
The afternoon featured a carousel of activities for all pupils where everyone was able to compete for points to go towards their team total. Of the three school teams, Rugby, Emerald and Amber, Ruby were the overall winners.
The infant school held a mixture of sporting races and activities throughout the morning which was supported by staff, parents and children, before enjoying a picnic lunch on the field.
Headteacher Michele Frost said: “The day was a great success with good weather. It is wonderful to see our children working together encompassing the true nature of sport – that as a team we can succeed.
“The day recognises talents of our children and encourages them all to achieve their best throughout the day. We are very proud of all of our children and are impressed by the efforts they gave.”
